Privacy Policy

Cleveland Institute of Electronics (CIE) respects the privacy of users who visit www.cie-wc.edu and www.ciebookstore.com.

The following policies are in effect to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. CIE may ask for the following information about you and your organization. First name, last name, company name, e-mail address, billing address and payment information. This information is required as a necessary part of completing your enrollment or bookstore order.

FERPA Confidentiality of Student Records
CIE abides by the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Under this act, education records of a student are released only with written consent and request from the eligible student, or in accordance with the law, to authorized agencies outside the college.​

No Spam
Your e-mail address will not be sold, rented or given to a third party. If you request a course catalog or sign up for an e-mail newsletter or purchase a product through CIE's bookstore you may receive occasional follow up e-mails from CIE or CIE bookstore to confirm your order, inform you of course updates, special promotions or share breaking electronics industry news.

Opt-Out
If at anytime you wish to be removed from our e-newsletter or mailing list you may request to be removed by e-mailing instruct@cie-wc.edu or call us at (800) 243-6446. Removals are usually done within 24 hours.

Change/Modify
If at anytime you wish to review, change or update any personal information provided to us, simply e-mail instruct@cie-wc.edu or call us at (800) 243-6446.

Cookies
CIE uses anonymous cookies to track information on your browsing history on cie-wc.edu and third-party advertising networks such as Google AdSense and AdRoll use the information to serve targeted display ads to you on CIE’s behalf on other sites throughout the Internet.

These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information, nor are they linked to any personal information collected by CIE.
